Writing Lesson with Heidi and Peter

In the village school, the boys sit next to the classroom windows. There they have more daylight for learning, the girls sit on the bench to the left. When the teacher enters the classroom, all children stand up and greet him. Before the lessons start, the teacher checks the pupils’ hands for dirt. What is learned in the first 6 school years is afterwards repeated during two more years. The content of the text is of no great importance. The main thing is for the children to learn to sit properly and behave themselves.

Writing is done in the Kurrentschrift (German cursive) using styluses on slates. Try to write like Heidi and Peter.
