Baking

Baking bread was one of the many tasks of the self-catering people. Baking and most of all dough-making was a sweaty job. Baking was usually only done once a month, meaning that over time the bread became hard. A popular saying shows the reality of that time: “There is no such thing as hard bread – but having NO bread is hard”. This oven is designed to also warm the living room and the bedroom above when heated.
